Only NRCan Licensed Service Providers using Registered Energy Advisors can issue authentic EnerGuide Ratings
Natural Resources Canada (NRCan) Registered Energy Advisors are trained in the use of the EnerGuide Rating System (ERS) to assess the energy performance, and potential energy savings, for homes during the design, construction, renovation and upgrade (retrofit) stage.
Registered Energy Advisors are tested on, and must have knowledge and experience in areas such as:
- EnerGuide Rating System
- Residential construction practices for low-rise housing
- Energy efficiency renovation practices
- Building science
- Energy simulation modeling
Licensed Service Provider
Windfall Home Energy (Windfall Ecology Centre) is a licensed Natural Resources Canada service provider and all our energy advisors are Natural Resources Canada Registered Energy Advisors.
EnerGuide Rating System v.15
We use the most recent and updated EnerGuide Rating System (ERS v.15) which provides a gigajoule rating for a house and requires a more stringent level of qualifications for energy advisors.
