Ankita our healthy kids Ambassador

Ankita is an 8 year old that arrived in Aurora about 4 years ago. She has a passion for outdoor activities, healthy foods and has an energy that just bubbles out of her when you meet her. We asked her some questions to find out why she is our next Healthy Kids Ambassador.

Gemma:

What inspires you to be active?

Ankita:

My friends and sunshine are so inspiring. When it is sunny out all I want to do is be playing outside!

Gemma:

What is your favourite sport?

Ankita:

I love soccer, but enjoy lots of different sports like swimming and skating in the winter.

Gemma:

What is your favourite food?

Ankita:

I love carrots and spinach. My mom makes an excellent spinach curry and I love eating it with her traditional Ragi Mudde! I also like to cook mini pizzas and roti.

(Visit our recipe page for an easy recipe for Ragi Mudde)

Gemma:

What do you want to be when you grow up?

Ankita:

I would love to be a doctor to help people stay healthy.

Gemma:

Where is your favourite place to go to be outside in Aurora?

Ankita:

I love that we have so many local parks from Ada Johnson park to Hickson park.

Gemma:

Who do you like to play with?

Ankita:

My friends and all the people in my class and other classes from my school!

Be a Healthy Kids Ambassador
