Voting & Judging

Video submissions will be judged online by both peers and by a judging panel of professionals.

Peer Voting

Peer voting will begin on June 4th, 2012 at 10:00am EST. For the People's Choice Award, students can vote for their favourite *Solar Idol video submission on the official *Solar Idol Video Channel on Vimeo.

To vote for your favourite video, you can click on the LIKE button (which is heart-shaped) in the top right-hand corner of the video screen.

The People's Choice Award will be given to the video that receives the highest number of peer votes.

Judging Panel

The judging panel will be judging video submissions based on the following criteria:

* Originality, creativity and innovation
* Positive environmental impact
* School/Community/Global benefit
* Capacity of solution and/or idea to be implemented
* Ability to inspire, educate and engage
* Video's artistic and creative merit
