The Elcar
Manufactured from 1915 until 1931, the Elcar had a range of 60 miles and was sold for $4000. It was recommended for "in-town use only" as it had many safety flaws when tested.

Battronic Electronic Truck
The Battronic Truck was capable of speeds of 25 mph, a range of 62 miles and a payload of 2,500 pounds. The company that produced this car also produced 20 passenger busses in the 1970s.

Electric KurbWatt Mail Truck
During the oil crisis of the 1970s the United States Postal Service developed this electric vehicle with the hopes of saving over 500,000 gallons of oil per year. The mail trucks went into testing but it was determined that the trucks were simply too small to be used nationwide.

Citicar
The 1974 Citicar was produced by Sebring-Vanguard and had a top speed of 45 mph. Sebring-Vanguard produced over 2000 of these cars between 1974 and 1977.

Geo Metro
The Geo Metro is still considered one of the best cars to drive if your main focus is milage and gas usage. However, in order for the Geo Metro to be so good on gas consumption the creators cut out many of the safety features that are common in cars today.
